Photos from the Bosque

Son & I went on a nature walk in the Bernalillo county Bosque (one of the areas not yet closed for fire danger).  Thought I would share a few photos.
Non-native Salt Cedar.  Came in as an ornamental but is now invasive & destroying the natural habitat.  
Rio Grande River with Sandia Mountains in the distance. 

Charred area from a previous wild fire.  So Sad.

Not sure why this tree is missing some bark.

Tumbleweeds piled up against the brush.

    So beautiful but sad for the wild-fires...you guys need rain, quick! The tree with missing bark is very interesting!!
